Patersons Names Two Veterans to Executive Team

—Former SunGard and Yahoo! Executive Appointed as CTO,Former Concur and Oracle Executive Named Vice President of Delivery for Growing Global Payroll Provider—

RALEIGH, N.C. and SALISBURY, U.K. (April 18, 2011) – Patersons, a leading provider of integrated global payroll services delivering expert solutions to clients in more than 160 countries, today announced two strategic executive new hires – Tim O’Donoghue as Chief Technology Officer and Richard Davies as Vice President of Delivery.

With Tim’s deep technical background and business acumen, he is a great fit to serve as our chief technology officer and lead our product innovation. Richard’s significant experience in business process management and customer relationship management solutions and operations will be instrumental in the successful delivery of our cloud-based payroll solution,” commented Andrew Pearson, Chief Executive Officer of Patersons.

As chief technology officer, O’Donoghue will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and R&D investment behind Patersons’ integrated global payroll services. A software product executive with 20 years of software engineering and software product development experience, O’Donoghue’s expertise includes consumer internet, banking/financial services, enterprise software, interactive voice solutions, secure electronic payments, and high-tech research and development. Most recently, he served as the chief technology officer for alternative investments at SunGard Financial Systems. During his impressive career, O’Donoghue also held the roles of vice president of Custom Advertising Solutions for international markets and vice president of Engineering for Europe and Canada at Yahoo!, as well as Head of Development at Misys Banking Systems. He earned a Ph.D. and a B.Sc. degree from the University of Leeds, with a focus on computational linguistics and statistical natural language processing.

The new vice president of Delivery for Patersons, Davies has ultimate responsibility for Patersons’ Delivery teams, ensuring all engagements are delivered on time and at the highest quality. He joins Patersons after serving as the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) services director at SaaS vendor Concur, a leading provider of integrated travel and expense management solutions, where he led the Delivery function through high growth over the past six years. Davies’ extensive career has included positions at Pegasystems (formerly Chordiant), the Financial Services Authority in the U.K., and Oracle. Davies is also a chartered accountant.
