GLOBAL STRATEGIC APPOINTMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL PAYROLL EXPERTS PATERSONS
Three new staff have joined international payroll software and services expert, Patersons, in the company’s drive to cement its global reach. The move follows hard on the heels of the opening of its new offices in the US and Singapore earlier in 2007, as part of its global expansion.
David Foote joins as principal HR consultant, Gary Figgins is global delivery manager and Richard Wright takes the post of global training manager. Karen Paterson, group CEO, comments, “The new appointments will supplement the company’s existing international management team at this exciting phase of our international development. Patersons is leading the way in global HR and payroll solutions through its web-based solution, CloudPay. A recent innovation conference made the point that software as a service companies (those that typically provide software over the internet using an application service provider model) are valued at twice that of companies which rely on the traditional software licensing model. Industry analysts estimate revenue from software as a service was $2 billion in 2006, up from $1.5 billion the previous year and that it’s growing at more than 20%, compared with traditional software’s single-digit growth. Patersons turnover has grown by 200% in 2006/07 and with our rapid expansion we expect to very quickly become the leading software as a service company globally in HR and payroll.”
Richard comments, “I wanted to join Patersons to be part of a fast-expanding and lively company offering a brilliant product without the all-too-common reliance on third-party software.”
Principal HR consultant, David Foote, has over 20 years experience in human resources at leading companies throughout the UK and extensive experience in HR strategy, HR practice and organisation design, coupled with programme delivery, change management and building effective working partnerships. These skills were recognised when David won the Human Resources Magazine Excellence Award in 2003. David holds an MSc in Industrial Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. He is a regular speaker on topics from ‘measuring the ROI of HR technology’ to ‘strategic eHR’.
Global delivery manager, Gary Figgins, is responsible for the smooth delivery of all Patersons services, both project and ongoing service provision. Previous posts include HR Operations Manager in IBM's e-HR Practice and whilst working for a systems integration and consultancy group, he headed an Oracle E-Business Suite consulting practice around HR and Payroll systems. He brings global project delivery experience on major multi-million pound projects in HR and payroll, with clients across the world from Europe to Asia, in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, professional services, facilities management and financial services. He is a qualified management accountant (ACMA).
Richard Wright is the new global training manager at Patersons and leads the implementation of a complete training portfolio, involving e-learning and traditional methodologies, for staff to support the company’s growth and for customers and partners. His aim is to introduce a system of skill-recognition and accreditation, so that knowledge levels within both the company and client organisations can be managed and developed effectively. He has many years experience in the management of software training within a global context. He was awarded a First Class Degree in Linguistics from the University of East Anglia, and an MSc in Knowledge Based Systems from the University of Sussex.
