RALEIGH, N.C. and SALISBURY, U.K. (October 15, 2008) — Patersons HR and Payroll Solutions, a leading global HR and payroll software and services business delivering expert solutions to clients in more than 160 countries, today announced the general availability of full U.S. payroll. By using Patersons’ CloudPay Web-based SAS 70 Level II certified software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, multi-national organizations seeking to pay U.S. employees can use the same system to simplify the complexities of processing and administration for all 50 states, online, on demand.

Patersons HR and Payroll Solutions popular “one system, one global contract” approach has rapidly gained adoption across multiple regions. While almost every country has distinct payroll rules, the U.S. represents a particularly complex situation whereby each of the 50 states have to meet specific federal, state and local tax regulations. U.S. payroll also involves benefit deductions and garnishments, as well as reciprocal agreements between states, such as non-resident taxes. Patersons HR and Payroll Solutions now incorporates all calculations and tax regulatory requirements for each state through its rules engine, as well as flexible global, country and local reporting capabilities through full integration with Cognos.
