CloudPay Welcomes John Leese as Chief Financial Officer

Seasoned Executive with 20 Years of Finance, Legal and Consulting Expertise to Manage Company’s Next Phase of Growth

RALEIGH, N.C. and LONDON, U.K. (October 14, 2015)CloudPay, the world’s only cloud-based platform for integrated global payroll and payments, today announced that John Leese, a seasoned executive with a wealth of expertise working at high-growth technology companies, will assume the role of chief financial officer. In this capacity, he will lead CloudPay’s global finance, business operations, legal and HR functions focusing on driving forward improvement across the whole of the company.

Leese brings extensive experience directing financial operations, mergers and acquisitions and IPOs, as well as managing finance teams for rapidly growing organizations. He most recently served as finance director for Claranet, following the company’s acquisition of Star Technology Services, for which he served as chief financial officer.  Earlier in his career, Leese worked as the group financial controller for Clearswift (formerly Content Technologies). He also held several senior-level positions in the audit and business advisory service divisions of Ernst & Young, as well as a supervisory position at Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touch LLP).  Leese received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, with honors, from the University of Leicester. He has also been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales since 1990.
