Supplier Relationship Manager | San José, Costa Rica

Position Summary

The Supplier Relationship Manager role is part of the In-Country Partner (ICP) relationship team.  This team is responsible for all commercial aspects of our global supplier contracts from sourcing, on-boarding and life-cycle management through to termination.  The main role of the team is to develop and maintain strong and long-lasting business partnerships with our network of payroll and related service providers.

 The Supplier Relationship Manager will report to the Director, Supplier Partnerships (based in UK) and be responsible for all aspects of CloudPay’s network of service suppliers across the Americas region, including:

  • Ownership of the supplier life-cycle from selection through termination
  • Sourcing and on-boarding in line with CloudPay’s procurement process and due diligence guidelines
  • Ownership of the relationship with suppliers, establishing and maintaining strong & mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Responsibility for supplier performance and quality
  • Identification and realisation of cost savings
  • Routine & ad-hoc supplier audits, both remote and on-site (international travel required)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To provide support to the business under supervision of the Director, Supplier Partnerships, including:

  • Maintenance of the supplier contracts and associated tracking including key contact information
  • Undertake Request for Proposal (RFP) exercises and perform supplier on-boarding and due diligence checks
  • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of payroll supplier contracts, working with CloudPay’s Legal and Compliance teams
  • Support ad-hoc pricing requests from sales (new business), implementation and payroll operations with respect to services provided by suppliers, including escalations
  • To ensure that price variations or commercial queries are communicated to the relevant parties for resolution in a timely manner
  • Identification and realisation of cost saving opportunities
  • Co-ordination of payroll supplier commercial arrangements with CloudPay’s commercial customer team
  • Supplier performance monitoring & reporting. Support quality and efficiency improvement plans
  • Main point of contact to support effective two-way communication between CloudPay and the supplier
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives as required

Positions Specifications

  • Candidate will have a strong procurement or supplier management background (Payroll or HR services ideally, must be professional services)
  • Able to work on own initiative and to meet agreed deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken form. Good English language skills are mandatory and Spanish or Portuguese will be advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and similar business systems
  • Ideally qualified or actively working towards CIPS, ISM or equivalent qualification
