Responsibility for the data protection program and for the provision of other corporate legal and business assurance services to stakeholders within the CloudPay Group of companies by:

  • Monitoring global changes in data protection and privacy laws and implementing appropriate changes across the business;
  • providing a professional opinion on topics and initiatives that allow decision-making with a sound risk-based assessment of benefit and impact on CloudPay’s business activities;
  • collaborating with other resources in the wider Risk, Governance, Business Compliance, Information Security and Legal functions.

Attributes and Experience Required:

  • Extremely organised and able to proactively prioritise and manage competing workload demands
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and able to produce high quality documents
  • Able to drive things forward both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at all levels
  • Previous experience working with legal contracts, company secretarial or data protection issues would be desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written as well as spoken form. Fluency in a second major language (ideally Spanish, French, Chinese) would be an advantage but not required
  • Prior experience of the following would also be an advantage:
    • working in a technology environment
    • complying with regulatory frameworks such as anti-money laundering legislation
    • managing data protection processes
    • working within a global organisation

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will Include:

  • Annually reviewing and refreshing the data protection policies in conjunction with information security and other stakeholders across the business
  • Managing compliance with data protection requirements such as the maintenance of the risk register and ROPA
  • Implementing necessary changes to the data protection framework to maintain global compliance
  • Support senior stakeholders within the identified business functions through the timely execution of other programmes of work and change initiatives
  • Co-ordination and engagement of other functional stakeholders to help maintain the business’ legal, regulatory and corporate business compliance requirements
  • Generate high-quality content for CloudPay’s Leadership team and senior management on a diverse range of topical matters, including data protection, Privacy by Design, prevention of financial crime, contractual terms of business with prospective customers and third-party business partners
  • Assist with other ad hoc functional duties as required
