HR Business Partner | San Jose, Costa Rica

CloudPay is seeking an HR Business Partner based in Costa Rica to provide a wide variety of local HR support and regional HR practices across our Costa Rica and some US locations, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration. The HR Business Partner will be working in a new dynamic and growing environment.

Attributes and experience required:

  • Degree in HR or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years HR generalist experience required
  • Good knowledge of labor law and practices in Costa Rica
  • Some working knowledge of US HR practices would be helpful
  • Work independently and possess problem solving skills
  • People person with excellent communication skills
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Flexible and able to work effectively in high pressure environment
  • High level of confidentiality experience

 

Daily duties and main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop an understanding of culture and structure to effectively partner with and support the organization
  • Provides input to develop and improve existing company policies, procedures and documentation
  • Ensure correct and timely payroll
  • Manage and coordinate with third-party vendors including payroll and benefit providers
  • Participates in pre-boarding, onboarding and new hire activities, and ensure completion of all necessary new hire paperwork
  • Provides support for end-to-end employee life cycle
  • Participates in offboarding activities which includes exit interview and clearance
  • Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; advising on any required actions
  • Ability to interview potential candidates
  • Support day-to-day HR operations and recruitment activities
  • Initiate and support company-wide events and engagement activities that will promote healthy culture and high performance
  • Ad-hoc projects and global initiatives as required
  • Responds to employee relations issues
