 As a result of strong growth and increasingly complexity CloudPay has established a new Commercial function and requires the need for a Commercial Analyst.

This role will be working closely with the Commercial Manager to shape the future of CloudPay Insight. The role requires some Business as Usual tasks to ensure the insight operations are flowing smoothly, but mainly focusing on the three key areas: Commercial Insight, Pricing and Service Partner Analysis.
This is not a “traditional” analyst role where there are set routine BAU tasks. This is a great opportunity in a new role to get hands-on experience in establishing the Commercial Insight element within the Commercial Function. Attributes and Experience Required:
  • Strong commercial storyteller with impeccable writing and presentation skills
  • Strong Excel skills (very large data sets, pivots, data cubes etc..)
  • Proven experience in a hands-on analytical role within a large organization
  • Ability to tell a story based on data
  • Strong technical background in data analytics
  • Strong attention to detail with an investigative approach
  • Good stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Solution driven, innovative, pace-setting and focused on results
  • Strong resilience and ability to handle problems and barriers in order to meet objectives
  • Proven commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence the business at senior levels
  • A self-starter with who can take an idea and develop it on their own

  • A payroll or Fintec background would be distinct advantage
  • Experience of NetSuite and Apttus would be beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • PowerBI or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Data Science (Python, R, SQL)


Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities:
As outlined above this role will evolve over time, but the initial focus will be to get hands-on with establishing insights for our customers and service partner relationships. Other tasks may be allocated within the scope of this role. Key responsibilities are:

Commercial Insight
  • Analysis of trends in cost, pricing, discounting and margin
  • Performing deep analysis on cost, charging methods per service partner.
  • Analysis of New business vs renewals vs upsells to existing customers
  • Analysis of costs and charging methods by service partner/country
  • Analysis of our pricing model assumptions right - standard vs actual cost analysis
  • Analyzing contract renewal of service partner and impact of changes in pricing methodologies
  • Performing RFC Analysis and Service Catalogue Analysis
  • Support Service Partner Relationship managers on strategic insight.
  • Ensure alignment of Service Partner Insight with costs and pricing model.
  • Identifying missed billing opportunities
  • Support on special projects, including providing relevant KPI’s, driving analysis, Customer Segmentation and market modelling.
Commercial Pricing
  • Assist commercial leadership in Designing, Development, Testing & Implementation Pricing tools and solutions to streamline pricing process.
  • Completing RFP’s and assisting Deal Desk/ Sales with Pricing proposals.
  • Pricing Analytics: Measure, track and report pricing KPIs to enable continuous improvements (performance, opportunities, trends, revenue leakage etc.)
  • Refining technical prices to optimize new business and renewal performance
  • Communicate to stakeholders across Product and Sales to ensure execution of strategy
  • Support the Commercial leadership on special projects, including providing relevant inputs, driving analysis, developing execution and roll out plans, etc.
  • Assisting commercial leadership in creating strategic pricing roadmaps
  • Assist in development of value propositions for new and existing offerings, working with product on how customers use our products & services.

Commercial Data Management
  • Assist go-to-market teams (deal desk, sales, customer success, support) to translate customer needs into a commercial & product strategy that maps to customer-assigned value.
  • Creating commercial marketing content for stakeholders across CloudPay to communicate execution of strategy.
  • Assist in development of value propositions for new and existing offerings, working with product on how customers use our products & services.
  • Working closely with SRM’s & Procurement to provide analysis on commercial aspects to establish strategy when sourcing potential new suppliers.
  • Support to other business initiatives to drive additional value from the supplier network.
  • Compiling content of commercial global training program and other areas of the Commercial function
